Self-defence training is an invaluable personal & professional tool. There is nothing like knowing how to avoid & defuse conflict to build personal confidence, not to mention knowing that you have some essential, effective physical techniques at your disposal should you need them.
Dr Tracy Johnson trained as a self-protection instructor with O'Hagan Total Combat systems and can work with individuals and groups to teach you the essentials of conflict management and self-defence. Businesses with employees who deal with challenging client groups or who travel have found this training extremely useful (see the review on our Client Testimonials page from Channel View Publications, who send their book editors around the world), and it can also from part of an individual's confidence arsenal; if you know can defend yourself from a physical attack & manage your fear, you will find everyday scenarios such as public speaking and challenging meetings far less intimidating! Tracy also has a particular interest in working with female victims of violence. She is accredited with the British Combat Association as an Associate Instructor.
Tracy regularly teaches free women's self defence classes for the Bristol branch of sportswear chain Sweaty Betty, for which she is also a Brand Ambassador. Please email us if you would like more details of these sessions.
